Rice INOVATOR

Efficiency and Disease Resistance in Rice Production

The 'Novator' rice variety, developed by the Federal Rice Research Center (FNC Risa) under the guidance of E. M. Kharitonov and V. Ya. Ruban, is designed for farmers who prioritize early maturity and high yields. With a vegetation period of 100–105 days, this variety enables efficient crop rotation and strategic management of the harvesting window.

Field Performance and Utility

A key operational advantage of Novator is its genetic resistance to rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae). This trait allows producers to reduce reliance on intensive fungicide applications, directly lowering cost-per-hectare expenditures while securing the crop against one of the most devastating rice pathogens.

• Grain Profile: Round-grain variety, specifically bred to meet the standards for high-quality cereal and porridge production.
• Yield Potential: Consistently produces 6–7 tons per hectare under proper management, ensuring strong economic viability.
• Operational Timing: Early maturity ensures that the crop reaches its peak quality window earlier, reducing harvest-time risks associated with seasonal weather shifts.

For agricultural enterprises, Novator serves as a reliable solution to combine productivity with resource efficiency. Its suitability for high-quality food processing makes it a market-ready choice, providing consistent grain properties that processors demand. By selecting this variety, farmers gain a balanced, high-yielding crop that withstands disease pressures and fits perfectly into standard, intensive rice production cycles.
