Description PRIOZERNOY 61
PRIOZERNOY 61 is a mid-late variety of rice (Oryza sativa L.), developed based on hybridization of varieties from the Far East. It is characterized by high resistance to diseases, in particular to pyricularia, as well as tolerance to rice nematode. The variety has a strong stem, short or medium length, and medium length panicle without significant bending of the main axis. The grain is broken, white in color, medium length and width, semi-chaffy shape, with a mass of 1000 grains in the range of 26-37 grams, which ensures high technological and culinary qualities. PRIOZERNOY 61 is recommended for cultivation in various climate zones, including the Far Eastern region, Primorsky Krai, and the North Caucasus region. The variety adapts well to fields with low and medium fertility levels, can overcome a layer of water, and can be cultivated using a non-herbicide technology. It requires moderate application of mineral fertilizers, especially nitrogen, with optimal doses of N 90, P 45, K 30. The vegetative period is 100-110 days, which makes it a medium-early variety with resistance to lodging and shattering. The yield of PRIOZERNOY 61 is high and stable: in Primorsky Krai it reaches 34.4 c/ha, which exceeds the standard variety by 1.2 c/ha, and the maximum yield indicators in Krasnodar Krai are up to 66.4 c/ha. The variety is valued for high grain quality and excellent taste characteristics of porridge obtained from it, which is confirmed by a rating of 4.5 points for color and taste.
