FLAGMAN — a medium-late variety of rice (Oryza sativa L.), developed for high yield and stable vegetative period, making it ideal for agricultural conditions in the West-Delta zone of Krasnodar Krai. This variety belongs to the italica group and is characterized by the absence of anthocyanin pigmentation on leaves and awns, as well as a medium degree of pubescence on the blade of the penultimate leaf. The panicle of FLAGMAN is straw-yellow, of medium length, with no or very weak bending of the main axis, and awns are either absent or very short. The medium-length stem ensures good plant stability.
The grain of the FLAGMAN variety is white, semicircular, and narrow, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 26 to 29 grams. Average yield in the region reaches 60.9 centners per hectare, which is 2.4 centners above the average standard, while in the West-Delta zone of Krasnodar Krai, the yield can reach 64.0 centners per hectare, surpassing the Liman standard by 5.5 centners. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield preservation and quality improvement.
FLAGMAN possesses high technological and culinary qualities, including high chalkiness of the grain, which makes it a valuable quality product. According to the applicant, the variety is resistant to pyricularia and moderately susceptible to infestation by rice leaf nematode, ensuring additional protection and yield stability under unfavorable conditions.
