Rice Fregat

Growing Fregat Rice: A Balance of Stability and Profitability

For an agronomist managing industrial-scale fields, crop predictability is essential. The Fregat variety has established itself as a reliable performer, capable of delivering a steady yield of 7-8 tons per hectare with minimal risk.

Agronomic Resilience and Protection

A primary concern for rice growers is rice blast (pyricularia). Fregat addresses this challenge through its inherent genetic resistance. In high-humidity conditions where other varieties would require emergency fungicide applications, Fregat maintains healthy vegetative mass. Furthermore, its resistance to pests reduces operational expenses on insecticides and cuts down on machinery passes, which is critical for lowering production costs.

Operational Performance

With a maturity period of 120-130 days, Fregat allows for smooth harvest planning, preventing bottlenecking for machinery. As a round-grain variety, it is optimized for industrial processing: excellent grain density and predictable milling performance make it a preferred raw material for processing plants.

• Grain Type: Round-grain, ensuring high processing yield.
• Growth Cycle: 120-130 days, simplifying logistics during the harvest season.
• Yield Potential: 7-8 t/ha under proper irrigation management.
• Protection: High tolerance to rice blast and common field pests.

If you are looking for a reliable, low-maintenance variety with predictable margins for industrial processing, Fregat is a proven solution.
