Description TROFIMOVSKAYA
Sea buckthorn "Trofimovskaya" – a compact shrub with a height of 2.5 to 4 m, featuring a umbrellalike crown and dense thorny shoots. The leaves are narrow, silver-green, creating a contrast with the bright orange berries, which reach a diameter of 1 cm (12–15 mm). The fruits are juicy, with a sour-sweet taste and a slight pineapple aroma, and are rich in vitamin C. The variety is characterized by a mid-late maturity period – the second half of August to the beginning of September.

The yield of the variety is high: up to 11 kg/pl., and the fruits are preserved for a long time, making them suitable for storage and processing. Sea buckthorn "Trofimovskaya" is resistant to diseases (mold fungi, powdery mildew) and pests (scales, aphids, spider mites). The plant is highly winter-hardy – it withstands temperatures down to –35 °C, which allows its use in garden and decorative purposes.

For cultivation, it is recommended to plant bushes in sunny areas with well-drained fertile soil (neutral pH). The distance between plants is 2–3 m. In the planting holes, a mixture of manure, compost, and peat, as well as fertilizers – superphosphate, potassium sulfate, and dolomite flour, are added. Regular watering during fruiting and timely formative pruning contribute to good crown development and increased yield. Products made from the fruits are used in the food industry (juices, jams, jellies, oils) and in folk medicine (herbal infusions).
