FAKEL is a medium-maturing hulless variety of spring oats (Avena sativa L.), developed to yield high harvests and possessing valuable grain qualities. It is characterized by high protein content (from 9.6 to 15.5%), fat (around 4.64%), and starch (43.1%), making it particularly valuable for grain and fodder use. Natural weight of the grain varies within 430-550 g/l, while hulling content is about 28.7%, indicating good quality and suitability for various agricultural purposes.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to main oat diseases, such as crown rust, powdery, and hard smut, and also possesses high resistance to lodging. These characteristics ensure harvest stability and allow FAKEL to be successfully cultivated in the West Siberian region, in particular in the Omsk region. Average yield in this region is about 32.6 c/ha, while maximum indicators reach 62.8 c/ha, confirming the high productivity potential of the variety.
FAKEL is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of Russia and recommended for cultivation in the West Siberian region. Thanks to its qualities and adaptation to climatic conditions, this variety is an optimal choice for agricultural producers seeking high-quality grain with good winter hardiness and disease resistance.
