Mustard "Mei Lin" is a mid-season salad variety that grows quickly and easily, even for beginner vegetable growers. Harvest is ready just 25‑30 days after germination, and the maturation period from germination to harvest is about 25 days.
The plant rosette is raised, 20–26 cm high and 18–23 cm in diameter. Leaves are dark green, tender, very juicy, and have an unusual shape with deeply lobed edges; they are colored with anthocyanins, giving them a bright color depending on the lighting.
The taste of "Mei Lin" mustard is pleasant and mustardy, and the flowers are intensely yellow. Seeds ripen in August, are spherical in shape, reddish-brown or dark brown. Green yield reaches 4.1 kg/m², making this variety valuable both for home consumption and commercial growing.
