La-Dushka is an early-maturing variety of leaf mustard that quickly matures within 58–60 days after sowing. The rosette is compact and vertical, with a diameter of 23 to 29 cm, making the plant easy to grow both in open ground and in limited spaces – for example, on a balcony or windowsill with additional lighting.
The leaves are large, whole, elongated-oval, green in color without a waxy coating and pubescence. They are dense, juicy, and crisp, which gives the product a pleasant texture. The leaf tissue is slightly pitted but generally smooth, and the absence of external defects makes them attractive to consumers.
The taste of La-Dushka is mildly spicy, characteristic of salad mustard, which allows it to be used both in fresh salads and as a condiment for sandwiches. The variety is rich in vitamins, mineral salts, and essential oils, so it is valued not only for its taste but also for its nutritional properties.
For cultivation, seeds are sown under film at the end of April, and then – into open ground in mid-May. If necessary, additional sowings can be carried out from the first decade of July 3–4 times. Sowing depth is 1–1.5 cm, after thinning, plants are placed at a distance of 10×20 cm. Care includes weeding, loosening, and root watering.
Harvest collection begins within 20–25 days after thinning; final harvesting is carried out during the period from day 35 to 40 of growth. Thanks to early maturation and compact form, La-Dushka easily fits into any garden plan, providing a fast and quality result.
