Wolushka – an annual mustard with light green, juicy leaves that reach a height of 10–15 cm within 25–35 days after germination. The leaves have a pleasant sharp taste and are often used raw for making salads and side dishes for fish and meat.
The culture is unpretentious: it grows well on different soil types, does not require high fertility, and can be cultivated in both early-spring and late-summer periods. Regular watering is necessary for optimal growth – lack of moisture worsens the leaf taste.
Greens are harvested immediately after reaching the required height, while seeds are added to marinades and canned goods. Wolushka germinates quickly even at low temperatures (from 1–2 °C), making it suitable for cultivation in cool climatic conditions.
