Mustard "Etalon" is a seed product created by individual-family selection from the Carolina variety and registered in the Ukrainian plant variety register since 2012. The variety is characterized by increased fodder and seed productivity, making it attractive for both commercial cultivation and personal gardeners.
The vegetative period of mustard "Etalon" is 40 to 42 days until heading maturity and 85 to 92 days until seed harvest. The yield of dry matter of green mass reaches 6.0–6.5 t/ha, and the seed yield is 2.8–3.0 t/ha. The recommended cultivation zone includes the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, where the plant demonstrates good adaptation to various climatic conditions.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and good seed germination, ensuring stable plant growth. When growing, it is important to maintain regular watering, provide sufficient lighting, and timely remove weeds for optimal crop development. Thanks to these properties, mustard "Etalon" is a reliable choice for both agricultural production and home gardens.
