The seeds of this variety have a diameter of about one millimeter and are usually colored blue-black or reddish-brown, sometimes yellow variants are found. Flowering begins in May, and full seed maturity is achieved already by June.
The growing period of the variety is from 79 to 95 days, while the seed yield is in the range of 2.0–2.1 tons per hectare. The recommended sowing rate is from 10 to 16 kilograms per hectare with interrows of 15 centimeters.
The variety is well suited for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe zones and the Polissya, where climatic conditions correspond to its requirements. Thanks to its characteristics, Tavrichanka is a popular choice among farmers seeking a stable harvest and high crop resistance.
