Mustard Olshanka

Agrotechnical potential of 'Olshanka' mustard

The 'Olshanka' mustard variety from PE 'Natur Svit' is a selection product focused on stable production of commercial grain under the climatic conditions of Ukraine. The technological properties of this variety allow for effective integration into crop rotation both as an oilseed crop and as a green manure (siderate).

Production characteristics and yield

The key parameter of this variety is its adaptability. When adhering to agrotechnological standards, 'Olshanka' demonstrates a stable yield in the range of 18–20 centners per hectare. This makes the crop a predictable tool for ensuring farm profitability even with intensive cultivation methods.

Versatility of application

• Oil production: The grain is characterized by quality indicators suitable for processing into oil and other products for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
• Field stability: The variety features high initial growth energy, allowing the plants to close the canopy faster, which effectively suppresses weed development in the early growth stages.
• Soil improvement: Thanks to its well-developed root system and biomass, 'Olshanka' effectively aerates the topsoil and enriches it with organic matter, which is critical when implementing soil-saving technologies.

This solution from PE 'Natur Svit' is designed for farmers seeking a balance between seed costs and stable output of commercial goods. 'Olshanka' shows a predictable response to micronutrient application, allowing agronomists to precisely plan fertilization programs based on target yields of up to 20 c/ha.
