Description Rapsodia
White mustard variety «Rapsodia» – a high-yielding and technologically advanced option, obtained by family-group selection from the heterogeneous Hbp population (Netherlands). The variety is characterized by an average plant height of 96–123 cm, a strong anthocyanin tint in leaves and hypocotyl, and the absence of a waxy bloom on the stem. Seeds are round-shaped, large, with a light yellow coloration; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 5.1 to 6.0 g.

Seed yield reaches 2.14 t/ha, which is higher than that of similar varieties, while green mass yield varies within 15–39 t/ha. Oil content is at the level of 30–36 %, erucic acid content – 33.3–36.8 %. Fat content in seeds fluctuates between 26.7 and 33.8 %, protein – between 27.8 and 29.5 %. Essential oil content is approximately 0.17 %.

The variety is distinguished by resistance to main biotic factors: weak susceptibility to alternaria and fusarium, high resistance to shattering, and moderate resistance to lodging. It is suitable for both oil and meal production, as well as for fodder purposes, and can also be used as a cover crop and nectar plant. Generative development upon late summer sowing is pronounced, ensuring stable growth even under altered sowing conditions.
