Desired

Lonicera 'Desired' – a high-yielding, winter-hardy variety with large berries of medium size (about 0.8 g), possessing tender flesh and thin skin without bitterness. Bushes are medium-sized, round, and densely covered, providing a dense crown and good protection from adverse conditions. Berries have a purple-blue color and a sweet-sour taste, with very low shattering.

The variety is characterized by resistance to diseases and pests, as well as high winter hardiness, allowing cultivation in a wide range of climate zones – from northern regions to temperate ones. 'Desired' ripens several weeks earlier than strawberries, while its content of useful substances surpasses many other berries. Thanks to its decorativeness and unpretentiousness, the plant easily thrives both in open gardens and in mixed shrubbery.

The yield of one bush reaches 1.8 kg, and the ripening period is considered medium. The variety is suitable for home cultivation and commercial production due to ease of care, high yield, and the attractive appearance of the berries, which can be used fresh, in desserts, compotes, or jams.
