Honeysuckle STOYKAYA

Practical Insights on Growing «Stoykaya» Honeysuckle

For a grower focused on consistent returns, this variety developed by the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center is a reliable asset. Its name, which translates to «Resilient», reflects its high adaptability to harsh climates, a critical factor for long-term orchard planning. With a bush height of up to 1.2 meters, the plant is compact and does not require excessive spacing, which simplifies maintenance and mechanical field operations.

Yield and Field Management

The actual yield ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 kg per bush, allowing for predictable crop projections per hectare. Unlike more demanding new cultivars, this variety is consistent in its agronomic requirements and shows good resistance to common berry diseases. By minimizing the need for emergency fungicide applications, you significantly reduce your overall production costs.

Logistics and Market Value

The berries offer a balanced sweet-and-sour flavor profile, making them highly sought after for both the fresh market and the processing sector. The firmness of the berries ensures they maintain their commercial quality during transit from the field to the point of sale. Processors appreciate this variety for its consistent sugar and solids content, making it an ideal raw material for jams, juices, and frozen products.
