The 'Samarskaya' honeysuckle bush – medium-sized, oval bush with dense foliage. Canes are straight, non-glabrous, and matte. Leaves are of medium size, green, leathery-smooth, concave on the sides, with a convex base. Flowers are of medium size and pale in color. Berries reach a mass of up to 1 g, are cylindrical in shape, dark blue with a medium skin; taste is sweet with a slight sour note and aroma, tasting score – 4.2 points. Berries have weak shedding, which facilitates harvest.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to climate loads: winter hardiness, heat tolerance, and drought resistance are at a high level. In the absence of additional watering during ripening, berries may decrease in volume, however, the plant does not show signs of disease or pest damage. Average yield is about 100 c/ha.
'Samarskaya' is suitable for growing both in garden plots and as a living hedge thanks to its undemanding character and frost resistance. It is recommended to plant bushes on sunny areas, with a distance between them from 0.5 to 1.5 m. Care includes moderate watering, weeding, fertilizing, and periodic pruning. Due to the rich vitamin and mineral composition of the berries, this variety is valued both in household and commercial use.
