Strawberry RUYANA

Stable yields from Moravoseed: why "Ruyana" remains a top choice

For those seeking the perfect balance between low maintenance and exceptional taste, "Ruyana" wild strawberry from the Czech company Moravoseed is one of the most reliable options. This runner-less everbearing variety is prized by agronomists for its intense flavor concentration and consistent performance across diverse climatic zones. Unlike many modern large-fruited hybrids, "Ruyana" focuses not on sheer size, but on high-intensity, continuous fruit production.

Key Advantages

• Dual Yield Cycles: Thanks to its everbearing nature, this variety ensures at least two full harvesting waves, actively forming fruit from early summer until the first frosts.
• Plant Health: Its genetic resistance to powdery mildew and major leaf spot diseases significantly reduces the need for fungicide treatments, making it an ideal choice for sustainable gardening.
• Adaptability: With a cold resistance down to -25°C without covering, it is perfectly suited for regions with harsh winters where more sensitive varieties would perish.

Cultivation Insights

"Ruyana" thrives equally well in open fields, plastic greenhouses, or even container gardens. The conical shape of the bright red berries makes them highly attractive for the fresh produce market, while the firm texture ensures they hold up well during transport. A key nuance: when grown in greenhouse conditions, the variety requires proper ventilation to maintain optimal humidity, despite its strong natural immunity.

This variety is an optimal choice for commercial growers focused on consistent seasonal supply, as well as home gardeners who prefer productivity over constant chemical management. Its high yield potential combined with minimal care requirements remains the hallmark of this classic Czech selection.
