Description SOLOVEI
Solovei is an early-ripening blueberry honeysuckle variety, growing to a height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters with an inverted-conical crown and thin, pubescent shoots. Bushes reach an average yield of 1.1–2.3 kg/bush, while the berries are of medium size (approximately 0.92 g), exhibiting a blueish-blue hue with a bumpy surface and a characteristic 'eye' on top. The berries have a sweet-sour taste and a delicate aroma; the flesh is soft with a tough skin. Berries ripen in the third decade of June, and self-incompatibility allows for harvest without additional varieties.

The variety is distinguished by its resistance to fruit drop and good winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in decorative compositions as well as living hedges. Honeysuckle Solovei tolerates drought well but dislikes waterlogged soil; the optimal environment – loose sandy or loamy soils with good organic content. Irrigation should be periodic and timely, and the planting site should be sunny and protected from strong winds.

Solovei is suitable for a wide range of applications: berries are used to make compotes, jams, rubbed with sugar, or frozen fresh. Thanks to its dessert taste and moderate yield, this variety is popular among gardeners who appreciate its versatility and ease of care.
