POLYANKA KOTOVA

The 'Polyanka Kotova' honeysuckle variety is the result of work by the Sverdlovsk Breeding Station for Horticulture, combining high yield and outstanding dessert flavor. The berries are large, elongated pear-shaped, weighing 0.8–1.0 g, with a dark blue skin tint covered in a bluish waxy bloom. The flesh is tender and juicy, giving the berries a refreshing sweet-and-sour taste, making them ideal for fresh consumption.

'Polyanka Kotova' bushes are vigorous, with straight shoots, and the bush itself is resistant to fruit drop. When overripe, the berries may drop quickly, but this does not hinder their use immediately after harvest. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to pests and diseases, ensuring a stable yield even under unfavorable climatic conditions.

Since 'Polyanka Kotova' is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of Russia, its cultivation is recommended not only for the Sverdlovsk region but also for the Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Perm Krai, and the Mari El Republic. The berries are suitable both for direct consumption and for making jams and other desserts, thanks to their rich flavor and high density.
