Honeysuckle SOPERNITSA GORYANKA

Focusing on Stability and the Fresh Market

The 'Sopernitsa Goryanka' honeysuckle variety, developed by the Vavilov Institute, meets the needs of farms for a reliable and early-ripening crop. Designed for intensive cultivation, the variety ensures a consistent yield of 2–3 kg per bush. Its compact size (1.2–1.5 m in height) makes it an excellent choice for high-density commercial plantations, maximizing the output per hectare.

Agricultural Practices and Harvest

With an average berry weight of 0.8–1.2 grams, this variety offers a balanced sweet-and-sour flavor profile with a slight hint of bitterness. These characteristics make the berries highly sought after for both fresh market sales and processing (such as freezing, juices, or preserves). The firm skin of the berries ensures good transportability, simplifying the supply chain from field to shelf.

• Planting Density: Due to its compact growth habit (1.2–1.5 m), this variety fits well into narrow-row planting schemes, effectively increasing total yield per hectare.
• Efficiency: Uniform ripening allows for a streamlined harvest process, usually requiring only one or two passes, which reduces manual labor costs.
• Versatility: A robust solution for farms balancing fresh market supply with storage or processing opportunities.

'Sopernitsa Goryanka' is a professional choice for growers seeking a balance between maintenance efforts and predictable financial performance at the beginning of the berry season.
