Smooth brome Excellence

Why professionals choose "Excellenz" bromegrass

Developed by the German breeders at Euro Grass Breeding KG, the "Excellenz" smooth bromegrass variety represents the pinnacle of European forage production standards. Unlike wild populations, this perennial displays a remarkable ability to regrow rapidly after mowing, making it a strategic asset for operations focused on intensive silage production and high-yield pastures.

Agronomic Advantages

• High Adaptability: Unlike many varieties sensitive to soil types, "Excellenz" thrives across various soil conditions while demonstrating exceptional winter hardiness and tolerance to short-term drought.
• Balanced Composition: The forage mass harvested from this variety is distinguished by its balanced protein and fiber content, which is crucial for high-performance dairy farming.
• Longevity: As a perennial crop, "Excellenz" maintains a dense stand over many seasons, effectively reducing the costs associated with frequent field reseeding.

The primary strength of "Excellenz" lies in its combination of soft leaf structure and high nutritional value. Livestock readily consume this grass as green feed, hay, or silage, leading to direct improvements in herd productivity. However, it should be noted that to unlock maximum yield potential, the variety requires timely nitrogen application, as its rapid growth rate demands high-quality nutrition.

The Ideal Choice For...

This variety is an optimal solution for farmers seeking long-term investment in their forage base. "Excellenz" is perfectly suited for establishing seeded meadows in temperate climate zones, where reliable and consistent yields are required without the risk of crop winterkill during low-snow winters.
