Ryegrass BARELLI

Practical Application of 'Barelli' Ryegrass

Barenbrug Holland's breeding program offers a versatile solution for those seeking the perfect balance between turf aesthetics and forage productivity. 'Barelli' is a low-growing ryegrass that effectively serves both professional landscaping and intensive livestock farming needs.

Usage Scenarios

• Lawn Maintenance: Due to its genetic low-growth habit (20–40 cm), this variety requires less frequent mowing while maintaining excellent turf density, even under high traffic conditions.
• Forage Production: Its high nutritional value and disease resistance make it an ideal component for hayfields and pastures, ensuring consistent green mass yields.

A key advantage of this hybrid is its natural resistance to Fusarium. In environments characterized by high humidity and fluctuating temperatures—conditions where other varieties often succumb to fungal diseases—'Barelli' maintains its vitality. This inherent resilience reduces the need for expensive fungicide applications and mitigates the risk of crop or aesthetic failure.

For growers, selecting this variety ensures operational efficiency. The low-growing form reduces mechanical maintenance costs, whether you are managing a decorative lawn or harvesting forage. By using 'Barelli', managers can minimize bare spots, as the variety recovers rapidly from damage and forms a dense, aggressive sward that chokes out weeds.
