DescriptionLyubava
Lolium perenne «LUBAVA» is a high-yield variety of barley intended for cultivation in moderately continental climatic conditions. The plant reaches an average height of up to 70 cm, has dense and sturdy stems, and wide leaf areas, which ensures good resistance to mechanical damage and increases yield.
Key characteristics of the variety include fertility up to 250–300 g/m² under optimal conditions, protein content in grain ranging from 12% to 14%, and fat content at 70–75%. Grain acidity is in the range of 4.5–5.0%, making it suitable for both industrial flour production and feed purposes. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to powdery mildew, fungal root infections, and mold diseases, which reduces the need for aggressive fungicide application.
For successful cultivation, «LUBAVA» requires moderate heat demand (from 12°C to 25°C), fertile, well-drained soil with a pH from 6.0 to 7.5. Regular irrigation and fertilization promote optimal growth and grain development. With proper care, yield reaches maximum values, and grain storage lasts up to 12 months at temperatures of 10–15°C.
