BARDOX is one of the most popular sugar beet varieties used in agriculture for sugar and biomass production. The variety boasts high yields reaching 20–30 t/ha under optimal conditions, along with high sugar content (≈18–22%). Thanks to these characteristics, BARDOX ensures an efficient product output at each stage of production.
The variety shows excellent resistance to a wide range of diseases, including powdery rot, root rot, and viral infections. Additionally, it possesses good frost resistance and can grow optimally at temperatures of 18–22 °C. High leaf density and a strong root system make the plant drought-resistant, enhancing its survivability under limited irrigation conditions.
BARDOX adapts easily to various soil conditions thanks to good tolerance to salinity and acidity. The growth period is 120–140 days from sowing to harvest, allowing for the planning of agricultural activities considering seasonal features. The variety is suitable both for industrial sugar production and as livestock feed, ensuring high-quality product with low fiber content.
