Fescue IVICA

Aesthetic Appeal and Durability in Landscaping

The 'Ivitsa' fescue, developed by the Novooskolskaya Grain Company under the guidance of V.I. Chernyavskikh, E.V. Dumacheva, and A.G. Titovsky, is a selection product designed for professional landscaping needs. From a landscape maintenance perspective, this variety is remarkable for its predictability and consistent aesthetic quality.

Visual Profile and Planting

The bluish-green hue of the foliage is why 'Ivitsa' is highly valued for creating rock gardens and border plantings. The plant forms compact clumps ranging from 20 to 60 cm in height, offering flexibility in planting density depending on specific design requirements. The foliage is dense and retains its shape well, even after wind or light precipitation.

Operational Features and Maintenance

• Adaptability: The variety shows excellent resilience to various climate conditions, which is essential for perennial planting.
• Maintenance: The primary responsibility for the owner is basic cleaning of dry inflorescences at the end of the season. 'Ivitsa' does not require intensive fertilization, significantly reducing long-term site maintenance costs.
• Restoration: In the event of partial plant loss, the variety is easily replanted, and mature clumps respond well to division. This allows for the rapid restoration of the visual integrity of a lawn or flower bed without needing to redo the entire area.

For those balancing visual impact with labor efficiency, 'Ivitsa' serves as a reliable tool. It does not demand constant monitoring, yet it consistently maintains its signature visual appeal throughout the entire growing season.
