Description GREENMAIL
Greenmail is a high-yield barley variety intended for cultivation in temperate climatic conditions. The seeds are large and dense, with high protein content (12‑13 %) and a starchy composition, making the grain a valuable raw material for industrial bread, cake, and other flour product production.

The variety is characterized by good yield: up to 8–9 t/ha under optimal conditions, average 6–7 t/ha. Planting is carried out in autumn to a depth of 2–3 cm with a density of 20–25 kg/ha in loose, well-drained soils with pH 6.0–7.5 at moderate moisture. To achieve maximum yield, nitrogen fertilization (120–150 kg/ha) and balanced phosphorus and potassium application are recommended.

Greenmail is resistant to various diseases: rots, powdery mildew, fungal diseases (mold, powdery rust). With proper care, the plant is easily maintained in the optimal moisture range (30–40 % of maximum moisture) and is subject to minimal risk of pest damage. Thanks to its agronomic properties, the variety is widely used both on private farms and in large-scale agricultural enterprises.
