BARPLUTO is a ryegrass variety widely used in horticulture and gardening for growing lawns and pasture lands.
Ryegrass is characterized by a well-developed tufted root system, with the main mass of roots located at a depth of up to 50 cm. This allows the plant to root quickly and withstand the loads from a mower or livestock. Growth height depends on the purpose: lawn varieties reach about 50 cm, while feed varieties reach 100–150 cm.
The optimal temperature for ryegrass growth is 18–25 °C; sowing is possible at temperatures above +2 °C, and the plant can withstand frosts. With proper watering and regular mowing (up to 5–6 times per season), yield remains high, and the feed is distinguished by its high nutritional value and good digestibility by animals.
