Clover Souvenir

Stability and Protein Profile: Why "Suvenir" is the Choice for Fodder Production

The "Suvenir" red clover variety, developed by the FSBSI Federal Research Center for Legumes and Grops, has established itself as a reliable choice for farms focused on high-quality green mass harvesting. Unlike many varieties that focus solely on bulk yield, this hybrid prioritizes nutritional value.

Key Advantages

• Pathogen Resistance: The variety shows high resistance to anthracnose and fusarium, which helps maintain crop health even during seasons with high humidity and significant disease pressure. An added benefit is its genetic resistance to the clover seed chalcid, simplifying the process of producing your own seed stock.
• Nutritional Value: The main feature of "Suvenir" is its high protein content in the green mass. This makes it an optimal ration component for livestock operations, helping to reduce costs on purchased protein concentrates.
• Productivity: With proper agricultural management, the variety consistently yields 30-40 tons/ha of green mass, which is a robust indicator for red clover varieties.

Who is this variety for?

"Suvenir" is ideal for those seeking a balance between yield and pasture longevity. Thanks to its strong immunity against fungal diseases, it requires fewer chemical treatments, thereby lowering the cost per ton of fodder. Its pink inflorescences not only provide an aesthetic look to the field but also actively attract entomophages, which is beneficial for the farm's overall biocenosis. This variety is well-suited for regions with temperate climates where the risks of fusarium spread are typically high.
