KURTSEVSKIY

Hybrid clover of the KURTSEVSKIY variety is a leguminous herbaceous plant bred by crossing a Swedish sample with the Severodvinsk 326 variety at the Arkhangelsk State Agricultural Experimental Station. The plant is characterized by a soft, non-hairy stem with medium or strong branching, elongated oval leaves without hairiness, and loose rounded inflorescences of pinkish-white color. Seeds have an oval shape, green and dark-green shade, the mass of 1000 seeds is about 0.89 grams, and seed hardness reaches 10%. The variety is distinguished by high dry matter yield, which varies depending on the growing region: from 27.3 centners per hectare in the Northern region to 105.2 centners per hectare in the Central Chernozem region. Seed yield ranges from 0.2 to 1.4 centners per hectare. In terms of protein content and collection per hectare, this variety is comparable to the standard variety Pervenets, making it valuable for fodder use. The vegetative period of KURTSEVSKIY ranges from 64 to 108 days from spring regrowth to the first mowing and from 120 to 140 days to harvesting for seeds. Thanks to its morphological and agronomic characteristics, this hybrid clover is widely used in agriculture to improve soil fertility and provide high-quality feed for animals.
