LISITSYNA REMEMBRANCE

Alfalfa variety Lisitsyna Remembrance is a tetraploid, early-maturing, two-cut variety intended for producing high-quality fodder mass. The period from the beginning of spring regrowth to seed maturation is 105–108 days, which significantly shortens the maturation time compared to other varieties. During the growing season, the plant can produce two full yields of green mass or one yield of green mass and one seed yield, ensuring stable and efficient use of the crop. Plant height reaches 90-100 cm, with a semi-erect bush form featuring 41-50 stems, trifoliate dark green leaves, and spherical inflorescences with red-pink petals. The variety is distinguished by high fodder mass productivity, achieving a total green mass yield of 51.4-59.5 t/ha over two cuts, and hay yield of 11.0-12.6 t/ha. Crude protein content in dry matter ranges from 15.3-16.2%, making this alfalfa a valuable source of nutrients for animals. The root system is powerful with a well-developed main root and abundant nodules, promoting good nutrient absorption and plant resistance to unfavorable conditions. Lisitsyna Remembrance exhibits high winter hardiness and drought resistance, as well as resistance to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose, ensuring reliability and longevity of the crop. However, the variety is susceptible to alfalfa weevil. Thanks to its adaptability and disease resistance, this variety is widely used in agriculture for growing on pastures and as animal feed. It is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth and Middle Volga regions, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions.
