The MOREVNA carrot variety is a late-maturing variety with cylindrical root crops about 15 cm long and weighing 100-120 g. The root crops have a smooth head with a blunt tip, characteristic of the Berlikum sortotype, and a rich orange color in both the core and the peel. High carotene content makes this variety especially valuable in terms of nutritional value and beneficial properties. The taste of the carrot is good, allowing it to be used both fresh and for all types of culinary processing. For growing the MOREVNA variety, it is recommended to choose well-lit areas with loose fertile loamy or light clayey soil with a deep plow layer. Sowing seeds is done at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of about 1 cm with a row spacing of 20 cm. Thinning is carried out after seedlings appear, leaving 5-7 cm between plants. The period from germination to technical maturity is 135-150 days. For successful cultivation, it is important to loosen the soil in time, water it and fertilize it with potassium and phosphorus compositions, which contributes to stable yield. The MOREVNA variety is distinguished by high yield — from 1.3 to 3.5 kg per square meter, as well as excellent storability, which allows using the root crops in late autumn and winter-spring periods. For long-term storage, it is recommended to select root crops without cracks and lay them together with a small amount of soil or pine sawdust, which helps preserve taste and market qualities. Thanks to these characteristics, MOREVNA carrot is suitable for long-term storage, consumption fresh, and culinary processing.
