Carrot Brilliants F1 is a late-type Nantes hybrid developed by the breeding company Nunhems Zaden. This hybrid features a long growing period of about 135 days and is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions, particularly excelling on light, loose, and nutrient-rich soils. The roots are cylindrical with a blunt base, reaching up to 20 cm in length and 4-5 cm in diameter, with a weight ranging from 100 to 250 grams. The bright orange color of the roots remains without greening, and the sugar content is 10-11.5%, ensuring excellent taste and high nutritional value, including 22 mg of carotene.

The Brilliants F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as alternaria, cercospora, and false powdery mildew, contributing to a stable and high-quality harvest. Thanks to the robustness of the roots and their resistance to cracking and breakage, carrots are ideal for mechanical harvesting and washing. Yield reaches up to 7 kg per square meter, and harvested roots withstand transportation well and can be stored for 2-3 months, making this hybrid convenient for commercial cultivation and marketing.

Carrot Brilliants F1 is versatile in use: it is excellent for fresh consumption and suitable for processing into juices, purees, baby food, and various salads. The recommended planting density is 1.0–1.4 million plants per hectare, with the sowing period from March to May. Due to its characteristics and qualities, this hybrid is an excellent choice for both farmers and food producers seeking a tasty, resilient, and high-yielding carrot variety.
