Carrot Darina

A Reliable Choice for Long-Term Storage and Processing

The «Darina» carrot variety from PMP "Tyras" is a classic representative of the Berlikumer type, tailored for professional growers focused on predictable results and high marketability. With a growing season of 130–140 days, this variety shows excellent resilience, making it a dependable tool for commercial vegetable farming.

Practical Scenarios for Farm Management

• Long-Term Storage: Thanks to its genetics, «Darina» roots are perfectly suited for long-term storage. They maintain their density, crispness, and vibrant orange color well into the spring, allowing farmers to enter the market when prices peak.
• Industrial Processing: The average root weight of 150–200 grams and a consistent cylindrical shape make it ideal for mechanical washing and processing lines, significantly reducing labor costs.
• Bunching Production: While the variety is highly productive at full maturity, it is also effectively used for early bunching, providing high-quality produce for the fresh market.

The roots reach 20–25 cm in length and feature a uniform shape, which minimizes waste during sorting. Developed by original breeder Volodymyr Mykhailovych Tyshkovskyi, this variety is an investment in stability. It does not require excessive agrotechnical inputs but delivers a product that is highly valued by wholesale networks and storage facilities alike.
