Niland

Niland F1 carrot is a late-type Nantes hybrid developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. This variety is highly adaptable to growing conditions, allowing successful cultivation across all climatic regions of Ukraine. The vegetation period is approximately 130-135 days, after which yields of 5-7 kg per square meter can be achieved with proper agronomy. The hybrid prefers warm, moist, and loose soils, where it develops most actively, showing slow mass accumulation and high fruit density.

The roots of Niland carrots have a cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, length of 18-24 cm, diameter of 2-3 cm, and average weight of 150-200 grams. The flesh is bright orange-red with a thin core, featuring a very sweet and juicy flavor. Carotene content reaches 20 mg, sugar content up to 9%, and dry matter content of 12-13%. The foliage is lush, strong, and healthy, providing resistance to mechanical damage during harvest.

Niland F1 variety exhibits high resistance to cracking, bolting, cercosporosis, and black spot, making it a reliable choice for long-term storage and transportation over long distances. The crop can be harvested using mechanical harvesters and stored in dark, cool places for up to 6 months. The primary use of Niland carrots is for fresh markets, as well as for preservation, processing into juices, purées, and vegetable blends. The recommended planting scheme is 4x25 cm.
