Cordoba F1

Cordoba F1 carrot is an early Shantane-type hybrid developed by the Dutch seed company Bejo Zaden. The maturity period ranges from 90 to 115 days, allowing harvest as early as 3-3.5 months after sowing. The roots have a uniform cylindrical or wedge-shaped form with a rounded tip, measuring 16-18 cm in length and 6.5-7 cm in diameter. The fruits exhibit a bright orange, intense, and uniform color both externally and internally, a smooth surface, and a strong crown. The weight of a single carrot ranges from 100 to 200 grams.

The Cordoba F1 hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 7-7.5 kg per square meter under proper care. The plants have a robust leafy canopy and resistance to common fungal diseases such as cercospora, alternaria, and black leg, as well as to bolting. Carrots grow well even under dry conditions and are suitable for cultivation on various soil types across Ukraine. For maximum productivity, regular watering, fertilization, weed control, and thinning of plantings are recommended.

Cordoba F1 carrots have excellent taste qualities: they are sweet and contain significant amounts of carotene and sugar. Due to their high marketability and resistance to deformation during transport, this hybrid is suitable for both fresh consumption — in salads and juices — and for processing into juices, purées, canned products, and frozen goods. Additionally, the roots store well, making this variety versatile and convenient for farmers and consumers.
