Carrot DETKA-CONFETKA

Growing «Detka-Konfetka»: A Practical View on Early Harvests

When selecting a carrot variety for bunching production, the balance between early maturity and market appearance is crucial. The «Detka-Konfetka» variety from Agrofirma Aelita is a top choice for those who value predictability. Combining the best features of Nantes and Berlicumer types, this hybrid shows excellent growth dynamics across various soil types.

Handling and Cultivation

What stands out first is the uniformity of the sprouts. Aelita’s seeds show high germination rates, eliminating the need for over-seeding. Thanks to its cylindrical shape, the carrot is easy to harvest from the soil without damaging the tips. The cultivation process is straightforward: standard weeding, watering, and keeping the soil moisture stable to prevent cracking. It behaves reliably in the field, making the operator’s life much easier during the harvest phase.

Harvesting Results

The average weight of 150–200 grams is the ideal format for market bunching or fresh consumer use. The carrots are dense, juicy, and sweet, living up to their name. In terms of post-harvest handling, the roots are easy to wash, retain their shape well, and maintain a fresh look for an extended period.
