Carrot NANTES 2 TITO

Consistent Yields for Professional Vegetable Growers

The Nantes 2 Tito carrot from the Israeli seed company Hazera is the top choice for farmers prioritizing versatility. In industrial cultivation, this variety is valued for its predictability: a 90–100 day growing season allows for precise harvest scheduling, bridging the gap between early bunching produce and long-term winter storage.

Practical Agronomic Advantages

The geometry of the root is the core of its success. A length of 20–25 cm paired with a classic cylindrical shape makes 'Tito' a benchmark for mechanical harvesting. Low damage rates during machine picking are due to the uniformity of the roots and their ability to be extracted from the soil with ease. The average weight of 150–200 grams is ideal for retail pre-packaging, sparing farms the need for time-consuming sorting before distribution.

• Bunching Market: Thanks to its intense orange color and succulent flesh, the variety excels in early fresh produce markets.
• Storage Capability: The dense structure of the root ensures excellent shelf life and marketability through mid-winter.
• Agronomy: The hybrid requires high-quality soil preparation, specifically deep tillage, which is critical for achieving a perfect, straight cylindrical shape.

Selecting Nantes 2 Tito is a strategic move for operations focusing on high marketable yield. By following established protocols for irrigation and fertilization, growers ensure robust resistance to common carrot diseases, maintaining a premium appearance even under intensive seasonal demand.
