KHRUSTA

The Khusta carrot variety is a high-yield vegetable with orange root crops of cylindrical or elongated-conical shape with blunt or slightly pointed tips. The root crops reach up to 20 cm in length, with mass varying from 80 to 150 grams. The pulp is characterized by its juiciness, crunchy texture, and sweet taste, with a small core. The variety is characterized by high carotene and sugar content, making it particularly useful and tasty.

The Khusta variety belongs to medium and late-maturing carrot types, with a maturation period of from 75 to 120 days depending on growing conditions. It is characterized by stable yields up to 5 kg per square meter, resistance to flowering and carrot fly infestation, as well as excellent storability, which allows storing the harvest for a long time without loss of quality. Thanks to these characteristics, the carrot is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including the preparation of juices, marinades, and pickles.

Growing the Khusta variety is carried out by direct sowing of seeds into the ground in early spring or under winter. Seed sowing depth is 0.5-1 cm, and row spacing is 25-30 cm. To form large and uniform root crops, seedlings must be thinned, leaving 2-3 cm between plants. Plant care includes regular watering, soil loosening, and feeding, which contributes to obtaining a high-quality and abundant harvest.
