The Znamenie wheat variety was created as a result of joint research by scientists from Timiryazev Academy and the All-Russian Research Institute of Phytopathology. This high-yielding variety possesses rich genetic potential and valuable nutritional characteristics. The yield of the variety ranges from 2.0 to 3.5 tons per hectare, while protein content in the grain reaches 13 to 19.8%. Additionally, the grain contains up to 3% lysine and 30 to 32% raw gluten, making it particularly valuable for various applications.
Znamenie is distinguished by high resistance to major wheat diseases such as rust, root rot, septoria, and enzymo-mycotic seed exhaustion. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central region of the Non-Black Earth zone, where it demonstrates stable yield and quality indicators.
Wheat of the Znamenie variety contains a rich composition of proteins and microelements, making it useful for both food and feed purposes. The high level of protein and vitamins allows this variety to be used in animal husbandry for compounding feeds, providing animals with necessary nutrients. Thus, Znamenie represents a universal and reliable wheat variety with excellent agro-technical and biochemical characteristics.
