The Verochka soft winter wheat variety was created at the North Caucasian Federal Scientific Agricultural Center and is characterized by high yield and grain quality. During multi-year research, Verochka variety yield exceeded the standard Grom variety by 1.21 t/ha, indicating its high productivity. The new genotype is distinguished by increased formation of productive stems per square meter, large thousand-kernel weight, and high grain head weight, which positively affects the overall volume and quality of the harvest.
Verochka has high frost hardiness and disease resistance, significantly outperforming standard varieties in these indicators. Moreover, the variety demonstrates high drought tolerance and lodging resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. High grain and bread quality produced from this variety confirms its value for the baking industry.
It is recommended to grow the Verochka variety on all fertilized predecessors using intensive and medium-intensive technologies in enterprises of all forms of ownership. Thanks to its economic-biological characteristics, the variety is suitable for wide application and can contribute to increasing the efficiency of soft winter wheat grain production.
