Alcoran wheat is a winter spelt — an ancient type of wheat also known as dinkel. This variety is distinguished by its high protein content (from 13 to 21.2%), as well as fat, iron, selenium, and vitamins of groups B and D, making it particularly valuable for dietary and children's food. Due to the absence of allergenic protein, ALCORAN is recommended for children with allergies and adults with gastrointestinal diseases.
The ALCORAN plant is characterized by medium maturity, semi-erect bush, and long stem. The ear is loose and white, the grain is colored, and the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 45 to 54 grams. The variety is resistant to lodging, drought, powdery mildew, rust diseases, root rots, as well as to enzyme-mycotic seed exhaustion and the tortoise pest, ensuring stable yield and high grain quality.
ALCORAN is successfully used for producing flour products and cereals with excellent culinary qualities. This variety is grown in various regions, including the Central Black Earth Region, where the yield reaches 32 centners per hectare.
