Yagidka Odeska

Yagidka Odeska is a mid-season winter wheat variety developed at the Odesa Selection and Genetics Institute and adapted to various climatic and soil conditions in Ukraine. The variety is characterized by high yield stability and grain quality, making it popular among agricultural producers. The vegetation period is approximately 280-284 days, ensuring timely ripening and high productivity of the crop.

Yagidka Odeska wheat has high winter hardiness (8 points) and drought resistance (9 points), as well as resistance to lodging (9 points). The variety demonstrates resistance to major diseases such as rust, septoria, powdery mildew, and fusarium, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The grain is red, elongated, with high protein content (13.2–14.5%) and gluten content (27.4–33%), providing excellent baking qualities and potential bread yield of up to 1070 ml per 100 g of flour.

The variety's yield ranges from 10 to 12.5 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity even on poor soils. It is recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine, especially with early sowing dates, which promotes better adaptation to changing climatic conditions. Due to its qualities and resilience, Yagidka Odeska is widely used in the baking industry, providing stable and high-quality raw material.
