TULUN 15 — a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by early ripening and medium height. The vegetation period is 76-88 days, allowing the variety to ripen simultaneously with the Angara 86 variety and several days earlier than Tulouskaya 12. The bush is erect, the culm and flag leaf are covered with a medium waxy coating, which contributes to plant stability. The ear is cylindrical, of medium density, white in color, with short awn-like appendages at the top. The grain is egg-shaped, pigmented, with a medium awn, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 32 to 35 grams.
The TULUN 15 variety has good baking qualities, making it valuable for agricultural production. It is resistant to lodging, which ensures crop preservation and facilitates harvesting. In growing regions, such as Eastern Siberia, Western Siberia, and the Far East, average yield reaches from 18 to 36 centners per hectare, while maximum indicators reach up to 44.9 c/ha. The variety forms annual viable seeds, which is important for stable sowing material.
However, TULUN 15 is susceptible to certain diseases: it is sensitive to powdery mildew and highly susceptible to septoria, and moderately resistant to brown rust. These features require attention when selecting agronomic measures and plant protection. Cultivation of the variety is recommended under the conditions of the Irkutsk region, taiga and subtaiga zones of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as in other regions with similar climatic conditions.
