Wheat variety 'Omskaya 37' is a soft spring wheat of medium-late maturity with a vegetation period ranging from 79 to 97 days. This variety was developed by Russian breeders of the Siberian Scientific and Research Institute of Agriculture and recommended for cultivation in the Southern Forest-Steppe and Lowland Steppe zones of Omsk Oblast. The plant is medium-tall, with a semi-erect stem and weak straw, ensuring high resistance to lodging. The ear is pyramidal in shape, medium density, white in color; the grain is semi-long, reddish in color with a narrow, shallow furrow. The mass of 1000 grains varies between 31-47 grams, indicating the variety's large-grained nature. 'Omskaya 37' is distinguished by high yield, reaching an average of 24.2-29.8 c/ha in the recommended zone, with maximum indicators up to 43.8 c/ha. It possesses good baking qualities, making it valuable for agricultural production. In terms of drought resistance, the variety shows average indicators, not lagging behind standards by more than one point. The waxy coating on the straw and ear is medium, contributing to plant protection from adverse climatic factors. The variety is characterized by resistance to a range of diseases, including brown and stem rust, as well as moderate resistance to powdery mildew and some types of blotches. However, it is susceptible to powdery and hard head smut, septoria, and root rots. Due to the combination of high yield, resistance to lodging and diseases, as well as excellent baking properties, 'Omskaya 37' is a promising variety for cultivation in the West Siberian region.
