Raduga

The "Raduga" soft spring wheat variety is a medium-late, medium-height, and plastic variety with a vegetative period of 83-95 days. It is characterized by resistance to shattering and grain germination in the ear, as well as lodging resistance and moderate drought resistance. The ear is cylindrical with medium density, the grain is large and red-grained, belonging to the first type. The weight of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 50 grams. The variety belongs to the Lutescent group and consistently yields grain not lower than Class III in gluten content and quality. "Raduga" is recommended for cultivation in the Republic of Bashkortostan and Kurgan region, and has been tested in nine regions, where it demonstrated stable yields even under drought conditions. The average yield in the region is about 23.8 centners per hectare. To prevent infection by powdery head smut, seed treatment is recommended. The variety is susceptible to powdery head smut and brown rust, which requires timely protection of crops. Sowing rates and timing depend on the climatic conditions of the region, with optimal dates from May 5th to May 20th. The "Raduga" variety is suitable for use in both bread-making and forage industries. Regarding bread-making qualities, the grain is rated from filler to weak wheat, and the technological properties of flour and bread-making assessment are at the level of the Omskaya 35 standard. To achieve high yields, fertilizer application is recommended, specifically nitrogen at 50-60 kg of active substance and phosphorus at 10-20 kg of active substance. Due to its adaptability and resistance to unfavorable conditions, the "Raduga" variety is a reliable choice for agricultural production.
