SIBIRSKAYA 12

Sibirskaya 12 is a medium-late variety of soft spring wheat intended for cultivation in the southern forest-steppe and lowland steppe zones of the Novosibirsk Region. The variety's vegetative period ranges from 84 to 94 days, allowing it to develop successfully in the West Siberian region. The variety is characterized by lodging resistance and enhanced drought resistance compared to traditional varieties, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in complex climatic conditions.

The grain of the Sibirskaya 12 variety has good baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and baking. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 36-40 grams, and the ears have a cylindrical shape of medium density with a white color. The plant has an erect bush and weak waxy bloom. In the tillering phase, the roots penetrate to a depth of up to 50 cm, and in the flowering phase — up to 130 cm, which contributes to good nutrition and plant stability.

Sibirskaya 12 requires fertile, moist soils with a fine-grained structure and a minimal amount of weeds. The variety is moderately susceptible to septoria, but highly susceptible to powdery bunt, brown rust, and powdery mildew, which requires attention to plant protection. The average yield of the variety is about 26.7 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators up to 63.9 centners. Thanks to its characteristics and grain quality, Sibirskaya 12 is a valuable variety for agricultural production and the production of high-quality products.
