Wheat STK21G

Reliable Genetics for Stable Yields

Winter wheat STK21G, developed by the Romanian originator Stelian Fuia (Soytek S.R.L.), represents a balanced solution for farmers prioritizing predictability and agronomic efficiency. In an era of changing climates, this variety stands out due to its robust morphology, emphasizing both yield potential and physical stem resilience.

Core Advantages

• Lodging Resistance: This is a standout feature of the STK21G. Its strong stem structure allows the crop to handle intensive mineral fertilization programs without the risk of collapse, significantly reducing potential harvest losses.
• Winter Development Type: A classic winter wheat variety, specifically bred to withstand the temperature fluctuations characteristic of continental climates.
• Awned Morphology: The presence of awns contributes to more efficient photosynthesis during the grain-filling stage and provides an additional deterrent against birds, which is a major advantage for fields located near wooded areas.

Who is this variety for?

STK21G is an optimal choice for medium-to-large scale operations that employ intensive farming practices and require a crop that responds reliably to technical interventions. Unlike some highly niche varieties, STK21G demonstrates significant plasticity. However, it is important to remember that to fully unlock its potential, growers must adhere to recommended sowing dates, as the winter-type nature of the plant requires sufficient tillering before entering dormancy.

In summary, STK21G is a proven 'workhorse' from Soytek S.R.L., successfully bridging the gap between high-level European breeding and the practical demands of modern large-scale agriculture.
