Wheat Knut

Danish Breeding Standards in Your Fields

When selecting winter wheat, agronomists often turn to Northern European genetics. The "Knut" variety from Sejet Planteforaedling I,S is a prime example of Danish breeding efficiency. Working with this variety provides a sense of predictability, which, for any operator, translates into peace of mind during the challenging wintering period and a streamlined operational workflow.

Field Performance and Operational Insights

As a bearded (awned) wheat variety, "Knut" offers significant advantages in terms of pest protection and harvest efficiency. In the field, the variety is highly technological. It does not require complex or unorthodox protection schemes, allowing for standardized management. Emergence is uniform, and tillering is balanced, making the planning of fertilization schedules much more straightforward for the farm manager.

• Growth Habit: Winter wheat, bred to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations.
• Wheat Type: Hard wheat, ensuring high grain quality standards.
• Morphology: Awned type, providing effective protection and cleaner threshing.

From an operational standpoint, "Knut" performs reliably during harvest. Its robust stalk structure effectively minimizes lodging risks, even under high-yield conditions. For the farm owner, this means lower harvest losses and efficient machinery utilization. The combine moves through the field smoothly, without excessive load on the threshing mechanism. Sejet Planteforaedling I,S has once again delivered a professional-grade product where the focus is on tangible performance and yield stability rather than marketing hype. It is a solid, efficient choice for modern agricultural operations.
