Wheat Prestance

Stable yields under intensive loads

The French breeding expertise of Florimond-Desprez Veuve et Fils consistently focuses on combining high yield potential with robust pathogen defense. The winter wheat variety "Prestance" is a prime example of this strategy, tailored for farms that refuse to compromise between grain quality and disease resistance.

An agronomic "bulletproof vest"

The key feature of this variety is its complex resistance to major foliar and stem infections. In the face of modern climate volatility, characterized by frequent humidity shifts, "Prestance" demonstrates exceptional tolerance to:

• All types of rust (yellow, brown, stem rust);
• Septoria and tan spot (Pyrenophora);
• Fusarium head blight, which is critical for maintaining grain marketability during the maturation phase.

These traits allow agronomists to optimize fungicide costs, reducing chemical load without risking crop health.

Technological advantages and recommendations

With its superior lodging resistance, "Prestance" responds exceptionally well to high fertility levels. The variety is optimal for intensive farming practices where higher nitrogen doses are applied. Its vigorous tillering capacity allows the plant to effectively outcompete weeds, providing a competitive edge during the early stages of vegetation.

Who is "Prestance" designed for? It is the choice for operations located in regions with high infection pressure that aim for high-quality grain yields. If you are seeking a variety that minimizes harvest losses from classic fungal diseases and performs predictably under intensive agronomic management, this French hybrid will serve as a solid foundation for your season's output.
