Description Pisanka
Wheat variety «Pisanka» is a winter soft wheat developed by Russian breeders at the Stavropol Agricultural Research Institute. This variety belongs to the medium-early and medium-maturing types with a vegetation period ranging from 233 to 281 days. Medium-height plants with spike-like white ears are resistant to lodging, shattering, and pre-harvest sprouting, ensuring stable yields. The variety's frost resistance is rated at 8 points, and drought resistance at about 9 points, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in steppe and arid regions.

The «Pisanka» variety is characterized by high yield, exceeding standard wheat varieties by 4.9–17.1%. Yield reaches 34.1 centners per hectare. The grain is large and high-quality: crude protein content is about 8%, gluten content — 5%. Thanks to these indicators, the milling and baking qualities of this wheat meet high standards, and flour from this variety produces bread rated 4.9 to 5.2 points. Additionally, the variety is resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew, yellow rust, stem rust, and Fusarium ear blight.

Wheat «Pisanka» is also widely used in animal husbandry as a forage crop due to its high carbohydrate and protein content. Grain with moisture content not exceeding 15% is suitable for compound feed production. This variety is economically advantageous due to relatively low purchase prices compared to other regions. Thus, «Pisanka» is a versatile variety combining high productivity, resistance to adverse conditions, and excellent grain technological properties.
